Deep Cliff Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Cupertino, California.
Deep Cliff Golf Course first opened for play in 1962. The course was designed by Clark Glasson in 1962. This par 60 executive course is a comfortable, easily walked course.
Stevens Creek winds through the Deep Cliff Golf Course providing both a visual pleasure and a golf challenge. The course is an excellent spot to practice your short game and exercise your irons. The layout has 12 par 3's and 6 par 4's. There are also three sets of tees to challenge every level of player.
Hole #1 is a dogleg right that is 271 yards from the back tee and provides you with an immediate look at Steven's Creek, which is seen throughout the entire course. You can use a driver but, why. Unless you think you can hit a green from 271 yards, you are advised to set up for an easy second shot to the green in regulation. On your approach, beware of the bunkers that guard the slightly tiered green.
Some claim the best par 3 on the course is the fourth hole. This hole measures 164 yards from the elevated back tee.
The toughest hole on the course might be #6. At first this looks like a straight shot to the green, but in order to get there you have to negotiate Steven's Creek off the drive and then avoid the many bunkers in the landing area. The green is slightly hidden to the right as pine, oak and sycamore trees line the fairway.
A good chance to gain a stroke comes at #8. This is the shortest par three on the course. A wedge or 9 iron correctly hit should put you in birdie position.
The best par 4 on the course is considered to be #15, also the longest hole on the course. The hole is a dogleg left that is 289 yards from the back tee with a hidden green concealed by large redwoods.
#18 is a long par 3 that has an elevated tee box overlooking the clubhouse. The hole is a straight shot down a very narrow fairway leading to the final green surrounded by 2 large bunkers.
This is a great course on which to practice your short game.

Short course but lots of fun. I aced #7 years ago. They recently got golf carts and thought I was in the twilight zone. In 30 years of hacking up this place, I've never ridden.

Deep Cliff has recently spent time and money getting the course beautiful again!! The drought was difficult and now it's back on track. It is green and lovely...like a small Yosemite! I play there quite often and the staff is stellar as are the staff of the newly appointed and remodeled dining and bar area. New bathrooms, new dining area and new bar. Outside seating excellent also!!! I highly recommend Deep Cliff...even if you don't play golf!! Go out get a bite to eat and enjoy the surroundings!! Lovely!! Golfing excellent for a smaller par 18 hole course.

Less rain means less green i understand that. Green were in great shape and food afterwords was fine. Great for short game tune up but dont be fooled by yardage. Fun lil challange.

Just like everything else in California, it comes down to timong. If its off, 6 hours. If its on, 4 hours. Fun executive course that does challange your iron play. Brings LOTSA balls.

Fun little 18 holes with some drivable par 4's. Always see deer on the course and the staff is real helpful. A net for a driving range but the price of a bucket is low enough you don't gripe. Bring plenty of golf balls.

Good for the medium to high handicapper. Need to play before 10-11 am on all days to avoid slow pace of play. Known to host hackers and those who don't adhere to most golf etiquette.

I learned to golf at Deep Cliff and now take my sons there too. A great place for families and beginning golfers (though that has slowed the pace of play at times).

Deep Cliff embodies all those qualities you look for in an executive style course. Though primarily a three-par layout each hole provides a number of shotmaking challenges. The greens and fairways are in very good shape. And while tee to green distances are short the greens provide plenty of challenges. Par here is a good score. The pace of play is typically acceptable and the walk itself provides great exercise without being too taxing for older players. The somewhat recently renovated clubhouse offers very good pub food and draft beer along with wonderful views and indoor and outdoor seating. You should check this place out.
